It’s 2016, and it’s another year full of Pitt Panthers draft prospects. For a program that hasn’t been truly relevant in decades in terms of competing for a national championship, Pitt has steadily produced players that go on to play professionally. In the NFL today, you could argue that three former Pitt stars are at or near the cream of the crop at their respective positions.
Running back LeSean McCoy is still one of the few elite running backs in the league, defensive tackle Aaron Donald is widely considered the best at the position, and corner Darrelle Revis may have lost a step, but has run the cornerback position for years. And those are just the stars; players like Dion Lewis and Jabaal Sheard have found success on lower levels in the NFL.
